The City of Kenora says it's working to modernize local services.

To that end, a new customer service portal has been launched.

Local residents can either put in a request for a specific service or indicate that a requested service was not provided on time.

Things like requests for sewer and water, snow plowing, reporting a pothole, or even animal control can be put on the portal.

They'll then be forwarded to the appropriate department for follow-up and tracking.

Back in March, there was a soft launch of the service portal and to date it's received 143 requests.

Most of them had to do with potholes.
