The City of Kenora released an update regarding the status of many roads and docks in the area that have been affected by the flooding and rising water levels.  

The following information is effective as of June 14, 2022.  

Roads with an evacuation order/road closure: 

  • Coke Road East of Kelly Road 

  • Sedesky Road 

Roads with an evacuation order:  

  • Second West Bay Road 

Roads with an evacuation alert: 

  • Golf Course Road 

Area/road of concern:  

  • Pine Cone Road 

  • West Bay Road 

  • Herbacz Road 

  • Gould Road 

  • First Avenue South 

  • Highway 17 at Dingwall Ford 

  • Kenora Hyundai/Railway Street  

City Dock Closures:  

  • Kenora Recreation Centre docks – middle loading dock. Boardwalks remain open at this time. Rec centre ramps remain open 

  • Seventh Street South dock  

  • Anicinabe Park docks 

  • Keewatin River and Portage Bay Boat Launches 

  • Coney Island docks – the north and middle docks on the Coney Island beach will remain open at this time. All other docks are closed 

City docks/piers that remain open:  

  • Whitecap Pavillion Harbourfront docks 

  • Matheson Street Pier 

  • Water Street docks 

  • Hospital Emergency dock 

  • Keewatin Wharf 

  • Keewatin Arena
