The City of Kenora is hoping to have better luck with the Coney Island Footbridge this year.
If the weather cooperates, the floating walkway will be removed on May 9th.
Last year, the city didn’t get a chance to remove the footbridge, because the weather did it for them.
The seasonal walkway broke away from shore due to strong winds, high water and ice.
In the end, the footbridge was so badly damaged the city had to replace it.
