Some of the younger dancers practicing for tonights preformance.Dance Works Kenora is putting on their very first year end recital tonight. Dancers of all ages will put on all sorts of performances including lyrical, tap, jazz, and ballet.

The dancers have been practicing constantly for the past few months. Josee McDonald is one of those dancers, and she told us a bit about the dances she will be performing.

"I'm doing a ballet solo, tap and then another tap and a Jazz duet."

McDonald also told us what keeps her in dancing.

"I really like that you just get to express yourself on stage and in front of an audience. Being up on stage is a lot different than anything else because you just get to express yourself with movement and I really just have a passion for dancing and it's what I've always been doing."

Josee McDonald has been dancing since she was 5 years old and hasn't stopped since. The recital takes place at the Beaver Brae gym at 6:30 and will be approximately one hour. Tickets can be bought at the door or online.
