Delbert Petiquan
April 16, 1969 - June 9, 2023

Delbert was a resident of Grassy Narrows First Nation and passed away at his residence on Friday, June 9, 2023.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Charlie Petiquan, Mary Ann Petiquan, Joseph Kokokopenace, Lucy Perrault Kokokopenace, his father Luke Petiquan, sister Karen Petiquan, Brothers Luke and Luke K. Petiquan, aunt Julie and Marilyn Petiquan, aunt Jessie Assin, uncles Gabriel, Felix Daniel and Simon Kokokopenace, nieces Diane Necanapenace, nephew Don Necanapenace Jr., as well as many others too numerous to mention.

Delbert is survived by his mother Eveleen Kokokopenace/Petiquan, siblings Brenda, Sherry, Pauline Petiquan, brothers Waylon Charlie and Paul Petiquan, his children Calista, Carlson, Charity, and Carly Petiquan, nephews Robert, Cliff, Simon, nieces Shaylee, Lillian, Macy, Justine and Jada.  As well as his uncles Barney, Danny and Andy Petiquan, aunts Margaret and Elsie Petiquan, Susan Fobister, Rita, Brenda and Clara Kokokopenace, cousins John C Kokopenace, Cindy and Penny Fobister, Lucy, Jeff, Rayn, Stephanie, Rita and Levi Kokopenace, Carla, JJ, Carolyn and Cayla Kokopenace, Sheila, Frazer, Beatrice, Clayton and Baxton Kokopenace, Christine Hyacinthe, Nelda, Elliot and Beverly Big George, Evelyn Kokopenace, Clarence Assin, Alana and Sara R. Anderson, Stephanie, Martina, Alex, Michelle and Raymond Petiquan and many other relatives too numerous to mention.

Delbert Loved hunting small game, shoreline fishing with his cousins, and he really enjoyed watching his friends and family play hockey.  He also enjoyed attending church and help fix and repair the church.

Wake service will be held at the Trappers Building on Friday, June 23, 2023 beginning at 11:00am. Funeral Service will be held at the Trappers Building on Saturday, June 24, 2023 with Elder Roy Napish officiating with interment to follow in Grassy Narrows.
