The Diabetes Clothesline will be in the main lobby at the Kenora Rec Centre on Saturday collecting donations. This month if you bring in at least 2 bags of gently used items you'll be entered into a draw for a 50 dollar gift certificate to 901 Westside. Operations Manager Janet Masdea said the Keewatin Restaurant was happy to help.

"I thought, you know what we were successful a few years ago when we did it local and I called 901 Westside and Brenda said of course," she said.

Masdea said the response to the draw has been amazing.

"The response has been amazing. I called a few people about the event "ok, ok thanks" and there's a $50 gift certificate for 901 Westside " oh of course. It's Saturday?" So, it was kind of neat to see the response," she said.

Volunteers from St. Thomas Aquinas will be available from 10 o'clock in the morning until 3 o'clock in the afternoon to accept donations. Masdea said they accept items such as clothing, magazines, and toys. The only things they don't accept is furniture.
