A 46-year-old Kenora man is facing two charges after members of the OPP seized cocaine and magic mushrooms following an incident downtown.
Police say officers responded to an altercation between two people on Matheson Street South on May 28 and learned that one of the males had a warrant for their arrest, related to previous drug offences.
During a search of the suspect, a large amount of illegal drugs were seized, including cocaine and psilocybin, otherwise known as magic mushrooms.
The 46-year-old of Kenora is facing charges of:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine,
- Possession of a schedule III substance – psilocybin
The suspect was released and is set to appear in court on June 29.
