Football is returning this fall as an agreed schedule has been made for the three high schools in the Keewatin Patricia District School Board.

Teams will not compete in the Winnipeg High School Football League this year.

Each team will play each other twice with the first game being on September 17, 2021, where Dryden High School visits Fort Frances.

Beaver Brae opens up their season the following week against Fort Frances.

The semi-finals will take place on October 29, 2021, against the 2nd and 3rd place teams, the winner of that game will take on the first-place team on November 5, 2021.

Besides football the school board is working on bringing bring back additional sports such as volleyball, basketball, and golf to name a few.

Schools with not be doing overnight trips for now and will be taking additional measures to protect including masking on buses and more safety measures.

DHS will host their equipment night on August 29, 2021, at 6:30 p.m., with their first week of tryouts beginning the next day at 6:00 p.m.

Beaver Brae Broncos football camp will begin on August 30, 2021.
