A 46-year-old woman from Machin is facing drug trafficking charges.

Yesterday around 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon, members of the Kenora OPP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 17 near Sherwood Road. The investigation led to the arrest of the female driver and a search of the vehicle located approximately 2 pounds of Marihuana.

The street value of the drugs is estimated at approximately $5000.

As a result of the investigation, Bonnie Leuschaft of Machin, Ontario has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking-Cannabis under 3 kilograms contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA) and Trafficking a Controlled Substance-Cannabis contrary to section 5(1) CDSA.

She is to attend Kenora Court on July 9, 2015.
