The Dryden District Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards are tonight. Dryden businesses will be celebrating with the awards gala.
Chamber manager, Gwen Kurz explains why they are important for the community.
"It's the one time in the year that the business community gets together and says we're doing a good job here and that's worth celebrating," she said.
This year there are 12 categories including business celebrating youth, fresh new image and woman in business. Kurz talks about the work that goes into the gala.
"About two months in the making getting to this points. We accept nominations form the public. The the committee screens all the nominations then sends out voting kits to all the chamber members who vote through secret ballot. So, it's a surprise to everyone involved who is the recipient of the award," she said.
