The case continues today against a Dryden man accused of animal cruelty. Paul Lysy, 37, is scheduled to answer the charge in a Dryden court room today.
He had his first appearance last month, and he's presumed innocent, until proven guilty in a court of law. The charge was laid during a cold snap in February.
According to the OPP, officers from the Dryden detachment received an anonymous call about a dog being left out in the cold at a residence in Wainwright Township. The officers attended the residence and located a husky cross dog in poor health due to the weather conditions. The temperature at the time of the officer’s arrival was -43 degrees Celsius.
