Pastor Jim Shearer and his wife Leianne celebrate the fifth anniversary of their work at The Dryden Mission.

Pastor Jim Shearer and his wife Leianne are saying 'Thank You!' They're hosting a dinner at their Van Horne Street location today, in order to mark their fifth anniversary.

During this time, the mission has helped families in the area, along with those in need in Africa and Asia.

The letter from Pastor Jim to supporters:

The Dryden Mission began in 2011!  It has been 5 years already, and Leianne and I could have not done any of this without the ongoing help and support of you. For your support, we are so grateful. There are not enough words to describe what your support has done for men and women and children, not only here in Dryden, but the surrounding areas and communities of the North. As well, we've been able to help six other countries including: Kenya, Guatemala, Venezuela, Cuba, Philippians and South Korea.

Through supporters like yourselves, we have also been able to hold special events, which have helped support The Dryden Foodbank, The Dryden Regional Health Centre, Wells for Africa and individual emergency relief situations.

Thank you again for the opportunity that you have given to us to serve one another in love to our community.
