The Kenora Early Years Community Project celebrates the complex thinking of children in the community, who are up to 6 years old from childcare programs and kindergarten classes.

Children share what they hear, see and smell from a walk in the wilderness and contribute their artwork, clay, song or other medium.

The kick-off event takes place June 9 at 5:00pm at Lake of the Woods Museum. Families can enjoy free refreshments at the opening and the exhibit continues until June 11, 2022. Admission for this exhibit is free to families in the area.

The Early Years Community Project is a partnership of Firefly, Kids Zone, Bimose Childcare, The Kenora Catholic District School Board, Keewatin Patricia District School Board and Kenora District Services Board.

The goal of this project is to celebrate the powerful thinking and learning that takes place during a child’s early years.
