Today is Earth Day and, although we are expecting rain throughout the day, celebrations and clean-up are still a go at Anicinabe Park.
Northern Waste and Hauling, the Kenora Chiefs Advisory and the City of Kenora have partnered to bring the community an Earth Day clean-up, barbeque and raffle. The event will kick off at 3pm and will run until 5pm.
The community is invited to clean up, have a bite to eat and win prizes. Raffle tickets will be handed out throughout the event with $100 pre-paid VISA gift cards to be won with the grand prize of a patio set.
Bags and pickers will be provided to participants.
Northern Waste & Hauling has donated a bin at the park, which families are encouraged to paint! Another bin will be set up on the Harbourfront for those who would also like to clean up around town. No household garbage should be dropped in the bin.
Don't forget your rubber boots!
