Kenora Evergreen Drive-In is back for the summer season and organizers are encouraging community members to head down for a movie night with family and friends.

Last week was the opening weekend, but if you weren't aware, President of Mount Evergreen Blair McCallum says he and his staff took a smaller approach.

"The opening shows were good. We didn't do a lot of promotion for it because we wanted to get the staff and ourselves back into the swing of things. We had a good turn out, but there's definitely room to grow the business in the upcoming weekends," he says.

McCallum adds that because Canada Day falls mid-week, Evergreen Drive-In will be offering three movie nights:

Thursday - The Lego Movie - 10:00pm
Friday - Mamma Mia! - 10:00pm
Saturday - The Outsiders - 10:00pm

Entry to each show will be a $25.00 flat rate per vehicle regardless of its occupancy. This is something new that the drive-in is offering this week.

"Get your friends and family, load up your car and come on down to the drive-in!," says McCallum

Tickets can be purchased at the Kenora Evergreen Drive-In Square Site. Concession items can also be purchased there, which will be delivered to your vehicle. Snacks and beverages can also be obtained in-person on movie nights.
