A fatality has been confirmed following a head-on collision on Highway 17 between Dryden and Ignace this morning.
Officials with the Dryden and Ignace Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police arrived on scene shortly after the incident at 1:00 a.m.
Next of kin has been notified of the death and an investigation is currently underway. Highway 17 between Dryden and Shabaqua Corner is expected to be closed for a lengthy period of time.
