The OPP and the Treaty #3 Police are investigating a fatality on the Wabaseemoong Independent Nation.
A body was found this (Wednesday) morning just before 6 am on Cameron’s Loop.
Police say the cause of death can’t be confirmed yet, but they don’t believe there is any threat to public safety.
The name of the deceased has not been released.
The matter is now in the hands of the OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch, Major Crime Investigation Team, Forensic Identification Unit, and the Crime Unit.
The OPP say the investigation is still into its early stages and residents should expect to see an increased police presence in the area.
