Staff with the Northwestern Health Unit say they’ve confirmed 4 new cases and 1 probable case in the Rainy River District, with one positive case in the Kenora area.

This brings the regions total to 28 active cases in the region. There was also a case in the Dryden / Red Lake region, but that person’s address is listed as outside of the NWHU’s catchment area.

Follow-up with those involved has started according to protocols, and anyone identified as a contact for this case will be reached directly by health unit staff.

Anyone who has symptoms, or who has been in contact with a positive case, should self-isolate and get tested and remain in isolation until your results are known.
