Triple P.L.A.Y. (Positive Leisure Activities for Youth) Kenora is looking for the community to help local kids this holiday season.
The 2nd Annual "Give the Gift of PLAY" promotes the need for sponsors from the region to help every child, regardless of barriers, the chance to participate in recreational activities.
"Unfortunately, because of circumstance, sometimes being able to afford those activities is out of the reach for parents or guardians. Triple P.L.A.Y. is here to make sure kids get to do what's most important, which is PLAY!," says board member Sam McDonald.
There are a variety of sports that you can choose to sponsor a child for including hockey, skating, swimming, piano and baseball, which range in price.
"Last year we were able to sponsor 71 kids in our community and our goal this year is to try and have 100 kids sponsored. We would really like to thank everyone who sponsored. We thank the creativity of our community for helping us continue to do what we love to do - help kids play!," McDonald adds.
If you would like to sponsor a child and Give the Gift of PLAY, you can become a sponsor at tripleplaykenora.com
