Health Canada is recalling over 30 types of Indigo-Branded Ceramic Mugs, Mug Ornaments and Houseware Products, due to mould contamination.
They range in design, colour and size, with the mug ornaments ranging in colour with a gold script or print.
The company says they may have been in humid conditions causing mould under the glazed surface.
Indigo says to immediately stop using the mugs and return them to one of their stores for a full refund. Mould ingestion may pose a risk of gastrointestinal symptoms and infections in consumers with compromised immune systems.
As of January 30, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
