Staff with the Northwestern Health Unit have received reports of 10 additional COVID-19 cases across their catchment area this morning, including 3 in the Sioux Lookout region and 7 in the Kenora region.
Follow-up with the individuals has started, and anyone identified as a contact for these cases will be reached directly by public health staff.
Everyone is asked to assume COVID-19 is spreading in your community, and to self-isolate, get tested and remain in isolation until your test results are known, if you experience any COVID-19 symptoms.
These cases bring the health unit’s totals to 560 cases since last March, with 68 cases considered active. They include 37 in the Kenora area, 16 in Sioux Lookout, 8 in Dryden / Red Lake and 7 in the District of Rainy River.
