Heather Rose Major, age 51 born on March 27, 1972 in Kenora, Ontario and passed away peacefully on April 4, 2023 in Kenora, Ontario.
Heather is survived by her daughters Diana, Alexis, Johnette, Summer and Suny Mendowegan, grandchildren Stacy, Ryder, Warriana, Easton, Evander and Harry Jr., her siblings Kevin, Deanna, Jason (Katie) and Janine Major and step-mother Roseann Major and aunt Judy Major and uncle George (Dorothy) Kakeway.
She is also survived by her other siblings Candace Seymour (Eddie), Natasha Kelly and Clayton Kelly, and survived by many nieces and nephews with whom she showed them love and always expressed her love for all of them. She is also survived by her Kakeway family, Powassin family and Kelly family members.
Heather was predeceased by her mother Mary Anne, and her father James Major on April 5, 2023.
Heather was a beautiful person inside and out, her smile would light up any room. She cared for the people around her and she made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed by her family and friends.
The family would like to invite her friends and family for a wake on Saturday April 15, 2023 at Washagamis Bay First Nation beginning at 3:30 PM and a traditional service Sunday at 11:00 am with Elder Ron Indian Mandamin.
