Officers with the Kenora OPP made an arrest and charged one individual after driving erratically in Kenora last week.

The OPP’s North West Region says on April 12, shortly after 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a traffic complaint of a heavy equipment machine driving erratically in Kenora, with beer cans visible.

Through their investigation, officers determined the driver of the machinery was impaired by alcohol, was arrested and was later taken for further testing.

The 52-year-old of Kenora is now facing charges of:

– Operation while impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
– Operation while impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in courts in June.
