The Ministry of Transportation is reporting a major highway 17 closure between Kenora and Vermilion Bay.
The MTO says the closure is due to a collision and traffic control is in place, but no further information has been provided at this time.
The collision was first reported around 7 p.m.
Residents are advised to stay home if they have any plans to travel tonight and to expect slick conditions on local roadways tomorrow morning.
