Kyle Wellwood scored at 3:14 of overtime to lift the Winnipeg Jets past the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1. Winnipeg's lone goal of regulation came with just 16 seconds left in the first period as Blake Wheeler scored his 10th of the season. Tampa Bay tied the game at 1-1 as Victor Hedman beat Ondrej Pavelec at 10:34 of the third period. Pavelec finished the night with 30 saves. Lightning goaltender Mathieu Garon stopped 22 of 24 shots. Jets defenceman Dustin Byfuglien returned to the lineup after missing 16 games due to a knee injury and played 25:36 in his first game back. Winnipeg will face the Florida Panthers tonight in Sunrise. The Jets are three points back of the Southeast Division leading Panthers and two points behind the second place Washington Capitals.
