Josephine Fobister
With family nearby Josephine passed away on July 13, 2023 at 12:45 am at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center in Thunder Bay, ON at the age of 75 years.
She is survived by Alvin, Angie, Guy, Georgie aka Danz (Carla), Ian and grandson Kyle Jefferson Pelly. As well as her grandchildren Dreyson K.P., Daniale S., Nicholas P., Afeni P., Kian & Daunyss K., Sierra P., Mariucz & Kadafi P., Georgette P., Mason N., Alanda K., Corissa S., Tanisha P., Ava & Caleb P., and her great grandchildren Marcus, Diondre, Cheyanne and Alvin, Angie and Daniale’s children. Father of her children Edward George Pelly. Her brothers Bill F. Sr. (Annette) and John Fobister (Kathy) and her nieces and nephews Harry & Norman F., Randy F. (Victoria), Helen P. (Dave), Elaine W. (Paul), Gabriel F. Jr. (Sherry) Wendy, William F. Jr. (Laura), Bruce F. (April), Harrison F. (Nicole), Travis F. (Tammy), Keith, Kathy (Sheldon), Karen F., Lois S., Deborah & George Landon. As well as Penny F. (Tony), and Cindy F. Josie had many grandchildren, great nieces and nephews to numerous too mention. Her cousin Evelyn P. close friends, Debbie R., Christine H., Steve B. & family.
Josephine was born at old Grassy Narrows. She lived in Kenora, Dryden, Thunder Bay, ON and Winnipeg MB. She enjoyed outings with her family including fishing, blueberry picking and drives to the city for a bit of shopping, gambling or just sightseeing. She is predeceased by her loving beautiful daughter Gwendolyn Pelly. Her parents Dennis Fobister & Bridgette Fisher. Her brothers Alex, Gabriel & close cousin Frank F., her nieces & nephews Tony H., Virginia & Dennis F., Bridgette F.
A wake service will be held at the Trapper’s Building for one night in Grassy Narrows First Nation on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 beginning at 12:00 pm. A final meal to follow right after the service. A final visitation will take place in Kenora at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
