The Northwestern Health Unit has reported 1 new positive COVID-19 test result in the district.

The confirmed positive test result was identified in the Sioux Lookout region.

Currently, the NWHU catchment area has 8 active cases. Three in the Kenora Health Region, three in the Rainy River Health Region, and two cases are in the Sioux Lookout Health Region.

NWHU recommends that everyone, including those who have been vaccinated, assume COVID-19 is in their community and practice preventive measures like physical distancing, wearing a mask in enclosed public spaces and when physical distancing is a challenge, good hand hygiene, and not touching their face.
