The Kenora and District Chamber of Commerce's Main Street market was a huge success.

Yesterday, over 40 vendors set up to sell their wares between First Street South and Second Street South for the physically distant open air market.

"Today was awesome. This was a day I think Kenora is going to remember of an open air market on Main Street," said Chamber president Andy Scribilo.

The market, which ran along side the Matiowski Farmers' Market, featured live music, local businesses, a beer garden, artisans and community groups was bustling throughout the day.

"At the Matiowski market they had 1550, we probably had that plus some of local residents coming down to shop. It was pretty well for five hours of the street being full," Scribilo said.

The next open air market on Main Street is this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and anyone that wants to set up a booth is encouraged to reach out to the chamber.

Scribilo would also like to thank volunteers, Harbourtown Biz, The City of Kenora and the Kenora Hospitality Alliance.
