The Kenora Supports Ukraine Committee says it has helped seven women to relocate to the city.
The committee was formed on February 24th, 2022, after Russia invaded Ukraine, and thousands of people fled that country.
In addition, to the seven women, they have provided funding to a woman and her two children to safely
go back to Ukraine.
Kenora Supports Ukraine says the women that stayed in the community are either studying or have found work, and are supporting family members back in Ukraine or seeking refuge in Poland.
They say their work now is to provide ongoing support to them.
