With Father’s Day right around the corner, the province of Ontario is letting all anglers fish for free over the Father’s Day weekend.

Licence-free fishing will be in effect on June 20 and 21, and residents are asked to follow catch limits, size limits and fishing regulations at all times.

As well, anglers are asked to do all they can to ensure proper physical distancing and COVID-19 safety measures, including wearing a COVID-19 mask and proper hand hygiene.

The next licence-free fishing event is planned for July 4 to July 12, for Family Fishing Week in Ontario.
