The Matiowski Farmers' Market returns on Wednesday, June 16 under the Whitecap Pavilion on Kenora's Harbourfront.
Helena Devins, Market Coordinator says the market will go ahead even if the region is under a stay-at-home order.
"As of the December 22nd announcement from Farmers Market Ontario, outdoor farmers market have deemed an essential food source, similar to grocery stores, so we are able to run in a shutdown," said Devins.
At this time, it's unclear if vendors from Manitoba will be able to attend the market or what types of items will be for sale.
"Following the Farmers' Market Ontario guidelines, I am able to have a market that as long as it is an essential majority, I'm able to have a few more crafters than we did last year," Devins added.
A number of layouts are being designed to ensure the proper COVID-19 guidelines are being followed no matter what the restrictions are at the time.
Applications to be a market vendor are no longer being accepted.
The Matiowski Farmers' Market will run from June 16 through September 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the Whitecap Pavilion.
