The Northwestern Health Unit has reported seven new cases of COVID-19 across the district.
Three new cases are in the Fort Frances Health Hub and two new cases are in each the Sioux Lookout and Kenora Health Hubs.
There are currently 90 active cases in the region. There are currently 36 active cases in the Kenora area, 26 active cases in the Fort Frances area, 13 active cases in the Sioux Lookout area, 6 active cases in the Emo area, 4 active cases in the Dryden area, 2 active cases in each the Rainy River and Red Lake areas and one active case in the Atikokan area.
Follow-ups with those involved and their contacts have started, and anyone identified as a contact for these cases will be reached directly by public health staff.
Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or who has been in contact with a positive case of the virus is asked to immediately self-isolate, get tested and remain in isolation until your test results are known.
Today marks the 69th straight day of COVID-19 cases being announced in the region.
