Development plans in Kenora are really starting to take shape, and Mayor Dan Reynard is happy to see it.
"What excite me is you're seeing now there's a new building going up on the mill site. Later this month, our planning advisory committee will be hearing and listening to the site plan development of how the developer envisions how the rest of his property on the old mill site will play out," he said.
"So, again, it'll create housing. It'll create jobs. It creates economic benefits to the city. So, those are all positive, positive things that we're all looking forward to, especially after what we've gone through with COVID-19," he added.
Plans for the former mill property include plans for the casino, housing and social services.
