The 12th "Modified" Maybe Annual Coney Island Music Festival is set to take place on Sunday, July 26.
The festival will look a bit different this year as the stage will face the water on the north side of Coney from a private dock. Co-founder Ferg Devins explained the new format.
"We're going to be on a barge on a private dock in the bay, same bay that the beach is on, but we won't be near the beach. We're going to be very respectful of safe distancing and keeping in social circles, therefore we'll be broadcasting to the water and we encourage people to come over on their watercraft," he said.
You're invited to park your boat, kayak, sailboat, paddle board a safe distance from others on Lake of the Woods to enjoy a full schedule of local entertainment.
Devins says they have also accounted for those who may not have access to a boat.
"The good news is we will be live streaming on Facebook, on Twitter, and onInstagram. Even greater news is Festivals and Events Ontario is giving us full access to their instagram account for the day. We'll be broadcasting live from Coney Island on beautiful Lake of the Woods to all of Ontario," he said.
The festivities begin at 11:30am and go until 5:00pm.
This year's entertainment includes:
Missy Jacobson & Wayne Kelso
