Registration is still open for the The Mother's Day Charity Road Race. The Kenora Borealis Multi-Sports club will once again be holding the race on Mother's Day which is this Sunday. Pat Alvestad said she and her family use the race as a reason to come together.
"I think at any one time we might have had six or seven in there, in the family. We don't try to make it a race or a timed thing, it's just a get together with family to do something good," she said.
There's a 5 km and 10 km course option. You can walk or run and participation is encouraged by people using strollers & wheelchairs. Check-in and warm-up is from 8 to 9:30 with the race beginning at 10 o'clock.
