Volunteers with the Mount Evergreen Ski Club say the hill will be open over the holiday season!

Past President at the ski hill, Blair McCallum, is inviting skiers, snowboarders and tubers to come down for the 2023 winter season.

“We’re super excited. We’ve done our snowmaking. We’re in the process of pushing it around and getting the lifts ready. We’ll be open and ready to go on Monday.”

Mount Evergreen is going to be open on December 19 with two of the three lifts running. After that, the hill will be open daily between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. with all of the lifts by the 21st or 22nd.

Volunteers will be running the hill between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Things will be closed on Christmas but everything will open up again afterwards, and the hill will be open 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on New Year’s Day.

“Big shout-out for all of the volunteers for the hundreds of hours of volunteer work to get the hill going for the beginning of the season!” adds McCallum.

McCallum says there are no COVID-19 restrictions in effect at the hill, and more updates can be found on their Facebook page.
