The Fort Frances Muskies boys curling team, skipped by Jackson Marchant, is a win away from securing an NWOSSA championship.
A win this morning against Michipicoten or a loss by Kenora’s Beaver Brae Broncos in their game with Thunder Bay’s Hammarskjold will give the Muskies the title and a berth to the all-provincial high school boys’ curling championship in North Bay.
Monday, the Muskies defeated Hammarskjold, Superior and Lake Superior to run their record to 4-0.
Beaver Brae is 3-1 after wins over Michipicoten, Lake Superior and Hammarskjold on Monday.
If the Muskies lose this morning and Beaver Brae wins, a tie-breaking game will be held at 1 p.m. this afternoon.
