It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father, Philip Melvin Netzel on June 20, 2015 at Pinecrest Home at the age of 90. Born on May 2, 1925 in Eden, Manitoba, he was the 2nd youngest of 11 children born to Julius and Mary Netzel.
Dad leaves to mourn 3 of his 4 children, Kevin, Glenda and Doug, step-daughters Debbie (Gilbert Charlebois) and Susan (Riley Orr), daughter-in-law Sandra Netzel, grandchildren Tracey, Michael, Chelsea, Schuyler (Amanda) and Devin (Stacey), step-grandchildren Brandi Brydges (Evan ) and Codi Charlebois (Victoria), 3 great-grandchildren Matthew, Rebecca and Paige and his sisters Martha Lovell of Winnipeg, MB and Rosaline Taylor of High River, AB.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre in Kenora on July 2, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. with interment of ashes at a later date in Kelowna, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
