It took longer than expected, but the new Coney Island Footbridge has now been completed.
This fall, council agreed to put the temporary bridge in place until the new railings could be installed.
Last week, work to finish the bridge was done, including new black railings.
In last spring, a storm and ice from the lake caused the bridge to separate from its moorings.
The footbridge was considered beyond repair and Docks and Lifts built a new one, but not all the fittings were available when City wanted to install it in the fall.
