Q104 is a big supporter of local music and we are happy to premiere a new single from The 22z.
The band is in the process of recording material for a debut album and follow-up to their debut single MeandU, with the release of the single Lucky For Me.
"It’s a driving beat and hopefully a relatable tune about a dashed romance that turns out, was for the better,” says lead singer Laura Cotton.
Fans of the band will be able to see the 22z showcasing their original music this year.
“We’ve been invited by the Sioux Narrows Arts Council, to play there this summer and you can see us during the Harboufront Concert Series,” according to Cotton.
The group’s line-up remains consistent with Laura Cotton on vocals, Darcy Ura on drums and vocals, Kris Soderman and Cole Zabloski on guitar and Matt Haw on bass. Behind the scenes, Haw is also recording engineer of the band.
The new single is available now for purchase through BandCamp.com and it is available for streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube and you can hear it in rotation on Northwestern Ontario’s Best Music Q104.
