As residents, businesses and the community as a whole continues to adapt to COVID-19 safety measures and the Northwestern Health Unit’s new mandatory mask policy, a new, safer way to experience local businesses will be coming to Main Street.
The Kenora and District Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Kenora, the Kenora Hospitality Alliance and the Harbourtown BIZ have worked to create a new Open Air Market in Kenora, which will be taking place on Main Street South.
The Open Air Market will provide a free space for a pop-up market for local businesses, artisans, organizations and local musicians. The space will allow pedestrians and cyclists to meet physical distancing requirements.
A portion of Main Street South will be closed to traffic on Wednesday, August 26 as well as Saturday, August 29, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., between First Street South and Second Street South.
Booths are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and you can reserve a booth by emailing the chamber at firstname.lastname@example.org. Local musicians wishing to perform are asked to contact email@example.com for more information.
