The NorWOSSA “A” division court sports finals are underway in Rainy River.
In the first game of the day, the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints junior girls’ volleyball teams got by the Red Lake Rams three sets to two to win gold.
In the final set, the Saints won 15-10.
The host Rainy River Owls senior girls volleyball team has won the NorWOSSA gold medal, downing the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints in three straight sets, 25-21- 25-21 and 25-17.
Up next, the Red Lake Rams junior boys basketball team takes on St. Thomas Aquinas in the gold medal game.
Tomorrow, Dryden is hosting the “AA” championships featuring Sioux North, Dryden, Beaver Brae and Fort Frances.
