Another new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed by the Northwestern Health Unit, bringing the region’s overall total to 23 cases, with 22 of them currently listed as active.

The new case is located in the Rainy River district, where there are 19 active cases as of publishing. The Kenora region has 1, while the Dryden / Red Lake region has 2.

Follow-up with those involved has started according to protocols, and anyone identified as a contact for this case will be reached directly by health unit staff.

Anyone who has symptoms, or who has been in contact with a positive case, should self-isolate and get tested and remain in isolation until your results are known.
