A 69 year old was killed in a crash that closed Highway 17 east of Kenora last night.
The OPP say the accident took place shortly after 5:30 near Richard Lake Road.
Provincial Police say the accident involved a passenger car and a transport.
The driver of the tractor trailer unit sustained only minor injuries as was taken to hospital for treatment.
The name of the deceased has not been released.
Technical Traffic Collision Investigators from the OPP as well as the Northwest Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team are looking into the cause of the accident.
