A single vehicle collision on Highway 671, the road to Grassy Narrows, has claimed one life.
The OPP say the accident took place around 5:30 this morning about 12 kilometers north of the Kenora By-Pass.
The driver was taken to Lake of the Woods District Hospital, but was declared deceased.
The passenger was also taken to hospital, but suffered only minor injuries.
The OPP say the Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team and Re-Constructionists are continuing to look into the cause of the crash.
One lane of traffic in the area is closed while the investigation is being carried out.
