Last week’s dinner fundraiser at Gropp’s Grab N’ Go raised $1,000.00 toward making the Rotary Peace Park a reality.
Owner Chad Gropp presented the cheque to Rotarians Debra LeMaistre and John Dahl. This money will help support the building of the Rotary Peace Park on First Avenue S. between the former location of the Blue Heron and the former laundromat.
Any donation over $50 to the Rotary Peace Park is eligible for a charitable tax receipt from the City of Kenora.
The Rotary Peace Park is scheduled to open in October 2022 and is a partnership between the Rotary Club of Kenora, the City of Kenora and the Missing and Murdered Women and Girls,Transgender,2 Spirit committee.
