Investigators from the Transportation Safety Board are looking into the cause of a downed plane near Pickle Lake Friday. The cargo plane was headed for a remote First Nation, when it was reported overdue.

While search and rescue members located the site later the same day, they weren't able to access the location due to weather until Saturday. The lone occupant, the pilot, was extricated.

However, police didn't identify the deceased. The cause of the fatality has not yet been determined.
