Ontario Premier Doug Ford has pledged more support for housing in the province.

"This past Canada Day has given us a chance to reflect on what it means to be Canadian," he said, during his daily media briefing last week.

"During these extraordinary times, we have to look out for one another," he continued, noting how the most vulnerable have been hit hardest.

"Many have fallen on hard times, and as Canadians we need to support them. No one should have to worry if there going to have a roof over their head," the premier continued.

With this additional $150 million in funding, the government is providing municipal service managers and urban Indigenous program administrators with a total of $350 million through the Social Services Relief Fund.
