The community is invited to dress up in their best plaid attire and hit the town in April all for a good cause.
"Pretty in Plaid" is a ticketed bar crawl fundraiser in support of Women's Place Kenora where participants break up into groups to tour and support local businesses and win prizes all while having a great night on the town. This is a spin-off of October's Witches Walk. Organizer Jonie Marchand says this event is expected to be a huge success.
"We raised approximately $2500 for the Witches Walk in the fall and it looks like Pretty in Plaid will sell out quickly. If my calculations are correct, we'll be raising about $7000!"
Ticket holders will be split up into 6 groups and follow their respective routes, which will include; Shooters, Cottage Time Public House, Bob's Burgers, Lake of the Woods Brew Co., Boston Pizza, the Boathouse, the Vault, the Cave Bowling and Bar and the Kenora Legion.
New this year are VIP tickets, which will offer an extra stop at the Plaza, free appetizers at some stops, as well as a VIP group personal photographer. (to name a few perks.)
Prizes will be handed out throughout the night and participants are also encouraged to take part in the photo scavenger hunt!
Tickets are $30 for a regular ticket and $60 for VIP. Tickets go on sale Saturday.
Ticket, prizes, routes and rules can be found below or on the Pretty in Plaid Facebook page!
