Remembrance Day services are scheduled throughout Northwestern Ontario tomorrow morning.

In Kenora, the ceremony takes place at Legion Branch 12.

“The service starts upstairs in the auditorium at 10:30 sharp. We’ll do our service upstairs in the auditorium and Mother Nature permitting, we will then go downstairs and lay some wreaths in the front at the cairn, followed by a parade to the Cenotaph to lay wreaths there in benediction and blessing,” said Jason Lava, president of Kenora Legion Branch 12.

Following the service, the Kenora Legion club room will be open and selling bowls of chili. Lava welcomes residents to attend and share a story or two.

The Remembrance Day Service in Dryden begins with assembly at the Legion Hall and march to the Cenotaph, with laying of the wreaths and return to the Legion for a light lunch.

Sioux Lookout services take place at the Legion with doors opening at 10:30am and the ceremony starting at 10:55am. There will be a memorial at the Cenotaph, followed by a ceremony upstairs at the Legion.

In Vermilion Bay, residents are invited to the Cenotaph on Spruce Street for a Remembrance Day service at 11:00am.

In Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls, there will be a public ceremony at the Sioux Narrows Community Hall hosted by Sioux Narrows Public School. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and all are welcome.
